Health and safety is one of Johnson Matthey's six
core values of doing business. We aim to protect our employees, customers, suppliers and communities by improving our health and safety performance. Health and safety has also been attributed two objectives out of our six Sustainability 2017 targets.
All of our sites have health and safety management systems in place to help drive continuous improvement.
We have robust processes in place to investigate any events that do occur, and we strive to learn as much as we can from these so that we can ensure that it does not happen again.
Our manufacturing site in Nilai, Malaysia has been presented with a 'Gold Class 1' standard in the Manufacturing & Chemical Sectors category in the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) awards for 2015.
Our site in Argentina also received a "Safety Management Recognition Special Award" from
Toyota in April 2016.
