The Johnson Matthey team in Nilai celebrate their award
The Johnson Matthey team in Nilai, Malaysia is proud to announce it has won a top health and safety award.
The site has been presented with a 'Gold Class 1' standard in the Manufacturing & Chemical Sectors category in the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) awards.
Tough site assessment
The Johnson Matthey site was assessed for its health and safety performance against stipulated regulatory guidelines for the previous calendar year 2015.
The assessment for the site commenced with a documentation review followed by a full day of site verification and interviews by independent assessors.
By participating in the programme the site was able to check its health and safety practices against the MSOSH regulations.
One of the key criteria was that the site had to show zero Loss Time Injury in its health and safety performance.
It also gave the site an opportunity to review and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace.

"The continuous effort and commitment from every employee in the organisation is key in achieving our health and safety goals."
The Johnson Matthey site in Nilai celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year having opened new facilities for manufacturing emission control technologies in 1996.
