Two Johnson Matthey technologies are available to improve the emissions performance of existing vehicles: the CRT^® system for CO, HC and PM control, and the SCRT^® system for CO, HC, PM and NO_x control. These systems can offer emissions reductions of 90%.

Diesel Particulate Filters for non-road machines

Diesel particulate filters are required in many countries for non-road machines working in various applications. They are required by national and local regulations in many places, both for occupational health reasons and to benefit the wider environment. Even when not required by regulations, it is good practice to fit diesel particulate filters to machines used for construction work and materials handling.

Johnson Matthey has nearly 20 years experience of engineering particulate filter systems for non-road machines. We offer a range of systems to cover every application, and different filter sizes are available to fit engines from <10kW to >1000kW.
